What is Brain Gym?

The Brain Gym® program is a holistic system developed by Paul E. Dennison, Ph.D., and Gail E. Dennison, designed to enhance learning and cognitive abilities through movement-based techniques. It integrates principles from kinesiology and learning theory to address various aspects of learning, including visual, auditory, motor, and stress management skills.

 

The program consists of 26 specific movement activities and related techniques aimed at promoting cognitive function and physical coordination.


By engaging in these activities, individuals are believed to enhance their ability to focus, process information, and manage stress, ultimately leading to improved performance in various aspects of life, including academics, work, and daily activities.

Brain Gym® emphasizes the importance of incorporating physical movement into learning processes, acknowledging the interconnectedness of body and mind in cognitive development and performance.
