About our sessions
What to expect and how to prepare

For Adults
Step 1 :
Prior to the first session, you are requested to fill out a questionnaire and send it back electronically at least 48 hours before your appointment , this will give us some basic information and we can use the session time to discuss some of the challenges and situations that you may be experiencing in greater depth and formulate goals to overcome these challenges.

Step 2 :
Through the use of muscle testing or other methods, we will evaluate your body’s current responses in regards to the challenge or situation.

Step 3 :

After some further assessments and in-depth checks to see how some functions work in relationship to your goal done through muscle testing or other tools we will find the most suitable technique that promises the best approach to bring your body and mind back into flow and balance.

Step 4 :
The session will be completed by a full re-evaluation and by noticing the positive changes.

Optional:
Depending on the goal and session, there may be some recommendations to further integrate the goal by applying a home program made of movements, activities, or techniques some of which may have been already used in the session. The home program helps to further integrate a chosen goal and are an essential part for more successful outcome
Please note
That a ‘balance’ session is an educational process, a process of re-learning rather than diagnosing and treating. You as the client play a very important role. The objective of the session is to empower you towards taking charge of your own growth and personal development.

Typically, the first session requires more time, please allow for around 90 minutes for a first session and around 60-75 minutes for following sessions
For Children
Step 1:
Before the initial intake session, the caregiver is given a questionnaire to fill out. This will give us an idea about potential underlying causes and how to support the child in the best possible way.

Through playful interaction, we can get a sense of where the child is through their actions and movements. Based on this we will do further assessments about reflexes, and the senses and helpful. The first session also entails some parental coaching as needed for example about early childhood reflexes, what they are, and what their impact on learning and behaviour might be if they are not properly integrated at a certain age.
Step 2:
With older children, there may be additional assessments such as the brain organisation profile to find the child’s preferred and least stressful learning style. It will help us to point out why and how specific situations may be more stressful. There are a variety of other assessments depending on the child’s needs. A program will be designed based on our evaluation and discussions with parents.
Step 3:
Subsequent sessions will be based on the designed program. With some children, emotional issues may arise during these sessions and will be taken into context during the session.
Parents will be advised on home support activities and strategies to support their child. We will also address any concerns that parents may have.
